What Is Urgent Care?
Urgent care fills the gap between a routine wellness visit and a true emergency. It’s for health concerns that aren’t life-threatening but still shouldn’t wait, often because they’re making your pet uncomfortable or could get worse without treatment.
Common reasons for a pet urgent care visit include:
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Limping or favoring a leg
- Minor cuts, scrapes, or wounds
- Red, squinting, or watery eyes
- Ear infections, head shaking, or scratching at the ears
- Itchy skin, hot spots, or rashes
- Mild allergic reactions, such as hives
- Coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge
- Frequent urination or accidents in the house
- Scooting or licking at the rear end
- Sudden changes in appetite, energy, or behavior

How to Schedule a Same-Day Visit
Please call us at (802) 985-2525 before coming in. Calling as early in the day as possible gives us the best chance of fitting your pet into our schedule and lets our team prepare for your arrival. You can also request an appointment online.
There’s no additional charge for an urgent care visit, so your pet can be seen quickly without the added cost of an outside urgent care clinic or emergency hospital. If you’d like an estimate before treatment, just ask. We’re happy to provide one and walk you through our payment options.
