At Shelburne Veterinary Hospital we’re big on wellness and preventive care. Why? Because we know firsthand that routine veterinary care will not only help your pet stay healthy but will also save you money in the long run.

Pets age much faster than we do, so that means illness and disease progress much faster, too. With regular exams, we can catch things early before they become bigger problems and treatment is usually much more effective.

With our wellness exams, your pet gets a thorough, nose-to-tail look from our vet including checking their teeth and mouth. Wellness exams should also involve basic blood work, fecal and SNAP testing for parasites. Vaccinations are usually part of those annual visits, and it’s a great time to ask any questions you may have about your pet’s health or behavior as well.
